Obituary of John Kelly

KELLY ~ John Dunstan Kelly passed away peacefully at the University of Alberta Hospital in Edmonton, Alberta on Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the age of 78 years. John will be sadly missed by his wife Betty; his children: Paul Kelly and Sandra Clarkson, Phil and Shea Kelly, Pat and Carole Kelly, Robert Kelly, Susan Kelly, Mac and Adelle Kelly; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives. The memorial service was conducted from the Stockade Convention Centre, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, April 15, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Michael Stonhouse officiating. The eulogy was given by Vern Belsheim and Ed Connor. Thoughts were shared by Russel Kelly The hymns sung were The Old Rugged Cross, Shall We Gather At The River and My Faith Looks Up To Thee accompanied on the organ by Pat Skinner. The honorary pallbearers were All His Grandchildren. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family would like to thank Dr. Kostuik and Dr. Chan for their care of Johnny. The patient and compassionate care of the hospital nursing staff was very much appreciated, also the ambulance attendants who cared for Johnny on his trip to Edmonton. Thanks to Reverend Stonhouse and Pat Skinner for creating the service we wanted. We are very grateful to Vern Belsheim and Ed Connor for their eulogy and stories of life as Johnny's friends. Heartfelt thanks to all who travelled to be here, and for the lovely flowers, food, cards and donations. A donation will be made to the hospital foundation in appreciation of your generosity.
