I’m grateful to have experienced the love and fun of Doreen and Keith’s home on many occasions, especially when we didn’t really know each other when Chas and I first started dating. I remember well what it was like to show up at their home just myself to break up the Brandon to Edmonton (or back) drive. I wasn’t sure what to expect as just some guy their granddaughter was into but was assured a good time and welcome reception. And of course Chas was right. I don’t think Doreen looked me up and down for more than a minute before welcoming me in with great country cooking and hours of cards to follow. This began a fond friendship which grew into love as my extended in-law family.
