Obituary of Victor Ostertag

Victor Ostertag was born in Kerrobert, SK in 1933. Victor passed away at Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, SK on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at the age of 87 years.

Victor's teaching career took him to several places including the Yukon which he very much enjoyed. In his later years he enjoyed the cottage at Lac des Iles. 

In 1960 he married Jean and they had two children, Jay and Shelley. Victor was always very proud of his two grandchildren, Jodi and Cody. He also thought his little great grandson Ronan, was a "cute little bugger."

Victor is survived by: his loving wife of 60 years, Jean Ostertag (nee, Nicholson); children, Jay Ostertag and Shelley (Bob) Bolotniuk; grandchildren, Jodi (Troy) Eckel and their son, Ronan and Cody (Laura) Bolotniuk; sister, Rose Sperling; sister-in-law, Helen Ostertag; Jean's sister, Faye (Bryron) McCrimmon; as well as many nieces and nephews. 

Victor was predeceased by: his parents, Adam Ostertag and Mary Graf; siblings, Wendelin Ostertag, George Adams, Hilda Heffner, Colette Sutherland and Joe Ostertag. 

The service will be held on February 9, 2021 at 11:00 AM. Due to COVID 19 restrictions, the service will be by invitation only. 

Donations in memory of Victor may be made to Canadian Cancer Society or donor's charity of choice.
