We were so very sorry to hear about Vic’s passing. He was a wonderful person and a great teacher. My dad, Ed Hamp has been reminiscing about all the good times they had when they were both teaching in Lloyd. Our sincere condolences to Jean, Jay, Shelley and all your families.

Auntie Jean,
Uncle Vic was a kind, gentle man - a memory that will always stay with me. Hilda’s (Mom) greatest joy was telling me stories about her growing up years on the Ostertag family farm. She loved her family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing! How many memories I have of our time spent as neighbours and of course with my dear Friend Shelley. I will always think of him picking Mushrooms in the front yard and wondering how he knew which ones were safe to eat? I was lucky to have spent some time at the cabin at Lac Des Isles.
I recall he cooked a dinner of fresh water clams after a day of Shelley and I diving for them in the lake. Vic was a quiet, gentle man. So pleasant to be around. My sincere condolances to Jean, Jay, Shelley & Bob, Jodi, Codi and thier families. Prayers for you during such a difficult time.
