Aunt Mary was my Mom's little sister! They spent many years together sharing family, shopping and of course the flower gardens! If Aunt Mary had an outfit it was quite often in Blue or Green and you guessed it my Mom had it in Pink or Red. Aunt Mary loved to pull jokes on my Dad and pretend to be Mom on the phone! We will all miss you but I have to say how lucky I was to have such loving and kind Aunt! I remember asking my Mom why Aunt Mary never re married after Uncle Laurence died - My Mom's response was - Why would she? She already had found the perfect man when she married Uncle Laurence! I am sad we have lost you Aunt Mary but glad you are once again with Uncle Laurence!

My sincere sympathy on the loss of Mrs. Dale. She was my Grade 4 teacher and I loved her so much. When I would go to work with my mom (Zella Dustow) on PD days I would more often than not find my way to Mrs. Dale’s room and she would give me little odd jobs to do. She would always tease me that we had the same initials and I will never forget her giggle. I’m sure we were not the most well-behaved class she ever had, but I don’t recall her ever raising her voice to us....ever. She let us play bingo on days we were done our work early, a candy for the winner!! She was such a classy lady, always dressed up and made up, lipstick, the whole 9 yards. She was a good friend to my parents and a wonderful co-worker to my mom. She was one of a kind and I will truly miss her. We are all better for having her in our lives.

Condolences to the family and friends of Mrs. Dale.
She was one of few remaining teachers of our schooling era 1953 to 65. Mr and Mrs. Dale was part of our growing up in the community. They helped me(the 9 year old) learn to play crib and whist at the home and card parties at the school on Friday nights. Our sympathy.

Our sincere condolences to you Duane and Anita in the loss of your Mom. She was my grade 6 teacher and one of my favourite ones. If you told me in grade 6 that one day I’d be on the History Committee with her I’d have thought you were crazy! The first meeting I called her Mrs. Dale and she said to me - don’t you think you could call me Mary now? I said I didn’t think so! Later I was also on the Scout Committee with her and she was on that committee for many many years!! I also had the pleasure of going on a craft tour with Joan Meiklejohn, Glenna Meiklejohn, Mary and myself. We got lost and had so many laughs and a fun time! She was a fantastic teacher, had a great sense of humour and was a kind and gentle lady and hard working community person who did lots for our community . I am sorry for us that she is gone but glad for her that she is now at peace. Our sincere sympathies.....

Duane & Family,
My sincere condolences in the passing of your dear mother. We started teaching across the hall from each other in 1980. She was a very special person whom I looked up to. Curling with her was always a fun time because of her wonderful sense of humour. Her love for flowers brought so much joy to all. She will live on in my thoughts forever.

Dear Duane and Anita and families, sincerest condolences to you on the loss of your dear mother. Mary was such a great lady and I enjoyed working with her on the Library Board and always admired her and aspired to be half the curler she was ... even in her eighties she ran down the ice when sweeping the rocks. She had the most wonderful sense of humour. Always had a soft spot in my heart for her and it was a pleasure to have known her. Hugs to you.
