Obituary of Kirk Black
It is with great sadness that on October 9, 2018, Kirk Black, son, brother and uncle, died at the age of 59 years at his home in Calgary, Alberta. Kirk, the third of four children, was born to Charles and Rena Black in Maidstone, Saskatchewan on January 1, 1959.
Kirk was as an avid sports fan and a multi-talented builder. Kirk enjoyed hunting with his dad. He lived resourcefully, wanting for little, and maintaining unwavering optimism throughout his life. “Kirkles” was generous, honest and a loyal friend to all who knew him. He is sadly missed but happily remembered with a cheery smile perpetually on his face.
Kirk is survived by his mom Rena, siblings Don and Shelley. Nieces and nephews Duncan (Erin), Denise, Cameron, Paynton, and Ryon. Greats Claire and Sullivan.
Kirk was predeceased by his father Charles Black (2010) and his sister Carrie Ringland (2014).

Kirk’s family will hold a private service at a later date.
