Obituary of Frances Ball

B I O G R A P H Y BALL: Frances Helen May Ball passed away in the Venta Nursing Home, Edmonton, Alberta on Tuesday, April 11, 2006 at the age of 96 years. Frances is survived by: two daughters: Christie Stewart and Pat Jackson; three sons: Allan Ball, Roy Ball and Gordon Ball; twenty Grandchildren, Twenty Eight Great Grandchildren, two Great Great Grandchildren, one brother Don Thom as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Frances was predeceased by: her husband James S. Ball, her mother and father Jenny and Phil Thom, five sisters, three brothers, one daughter Shirley Christensen, two grandsons: Doug Christensen and Dallas Ball. The funeral service for Frances was conducted from the Neilburg Community Hall, Neilburg, Saskatchewan on Monday, April 17, 2006 at 2:00 P.M. with Tom Poppleton officiating. A eulogy was read by Brenda Stewart. Hymns sung were “In The Garden,” “Beyond The Sunset,” and “Just A Closer Walk With Thee,” accompanied by Dolores Hollingshead on the organ. Active pallbearers were: Jim Ball, Brian Stewart, Lyle Christensen, Troy Ball, Dwayne Stewart and Ron Christensen as well as all the Grandchildren of Frances Ball. Interment followed in the Neilburg Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. Card of Thanks Thanks to everyone who took the time to visit mom in her later years, and to all those who attended the funeral, sent flowers and made donations. Special thanks to Tom Poppleton for his kind words, the Community Choir, the organist and the Ladies Hall Club. Your thoughtfulness was appreciated by all of us.
