The Redden Family, Thoughts and Prayers are with you all through this time. I hope you will find comfort in the essence of Pat\\\'s Grace. I know within my heart, that Mrs Redden is an Angel upon this earth, her magic and love so transcendent, has touched many souls and lives. You will see her in every heart she touched, in every hand she held, in every hug she embraced. In every dream dreamt. She etched her soul within all the hearts and dreams of those who knew her presence in this world and beyond. When you look around you will see her essence etched in the hearts of all, and those memories will give you the true magnificence of the Love she manifested in this world. In sewing the seeds of Love, her Love transpired to the masterpiece of her family, friends, strangers and a community she brought together. A true giver of the Soul\\\'s Gifts and magic she gently sewed upon this earth, forever to remain within the hearts of all, which forever will continue to bring inspiration, hope and the will to believe.... Thank you for allowing me to see the true magic of thee... As we walk along the path of sorrow I can feel our aching hearts Our tears falling as torrential rains Flooding our very Soul\\\'s Questions drifting upon the waves of our pain Our Heart\\\'s far from Joy\\\'s refrain Crying out for answers As to why those we Love, leave this present world The light is dim The road is long All we know is our deepest darkest sorrow Making its\\\' self felt Unspoken words Waiting to be spoken Sorrows\\\' painful grip Waiting to be broken There are no answers As to why, our Loved one\\\'s leave this world Be assured, that when they go They give us wings to fly To know beyond all knowing The Magnificence of the Love (They,We) share To reach beyond all reach And to feel that Love, Everywhere Now and Forever There are no if\\\'s or but\\\'s Their Love is Here and Now, as it was yesterday, And Will Always Live within our Hearts\\\'and lives R. I COULD NOT AGREE MORE WITH THE POST BELOW. I KNEW PAT AS A PERSON IN HER OWN RIGHT, NOT JUST AS A HOCKEY PLAYERS MOM. IT'S TERRIBLE TO THINK FANS MUST WRITE ABOUT THEIR TEAM HERE. QUOTE: I think it's a terrible shame that Pat Redden is being remembered for her son, Wade's athletic career and that she is not being singled out for her own contibutions into the world. Sure, I guess being the Mom of a "superstar" hockey player is nice but I am sure Pat Redden would hope to be remembered as MORE than that. I find it truly offensive that Senator fans are using her guest book to fawn over their team and a hockey player. How start struck is society...total strangers visiting a memorial web site in order to rub shoulders with a hockey player. I feel this space should be used to reflect on PAT as a human being, and not as a sports chat site. What disrespect to Pat! I am sure she was proud of all her children but to focus on one, because he is on a special hockey team, is down right cruel. Pat was a great person in her own right and not just the mom of a quasi celebrity. Pat was so nice to me at a time when I needed someone to be kind. I was new to the city and I had lost our first baby and was in the hospital. She could see my pain and she was so gentle and caring. She understood the pain was more than physical and she took the time to pop into my hospital room and say a kind word. She really listened to my hurt and anger and encouraged me to speak to a nice lady named Marie who was a councellor at the hospital. Pat was so supportive and came by often just to be an encouragement to me. I am so sorry to hear of her passing as she was an angel on earth...I guess her work was done and God needed a really bright and shining jewel in Heaven. Pat will be bringing comfort to others beyond this world and she will never be forgotton by those she touched so sweetly here. God bless her whole family and I know you will all continue to make her proud as she smiles gently down on you..... Diana Swain

YOU CAN SHED TEARS THAT SHE IS GONE OR YOU CAN SMILE BECAUSE SHE HAS LIVED. YOU CAN CLOSE YOUR EYES AND PRAY THAT SHE'LL COME BACK OR YOU CAN OPEN YOUR EYES AND SEE ALL THAT SHE'S LEFT. YOU CAN CRY AND CLOSE YOUR MIND, BE EMPTY AND TURN YOUR BACK, OR YOU CAN DO WHAT SHE WOULD OF WANTED, SMILE, OPEN YOUR EYES,LOVE AND GO ON. FLY,FLY PRECIOUS ONE YOUR ENDLESS JOURNEY HAS JUST BEGUN.

My most heartfelt and sincerest sympathies to the Redden family on the loss of your wife, mother, grandmother and friend. While having only met Wade briefly in 2004 while testing him at the World Cup Camp in Ottawa, his strong values and morals regularly shine through in his conduct both on and off the ice. Parent's impart their values onto their children, and Wade's conduct is a true testament to Pat Redden's character. May the Redden and Marlatt families find solace in their treasured memories of Pat. May those memories always bring a smile to your face and warmth to your heart. With Kindest Regards and Condolences, Kim

My family and I offer the Redden family our heartfelt and sincere condolences on the loss of Mrs. Pat Redden and offer our prayers for Mrs. Redden, her family and friends. As a testament to what a great and giving parent she (and of course Mr. Redden) must have been, when Wade joined the Senators, he did not think of himself but of kids in the Ottawa area by donating the use of an entire hockey suite (for many seasons) to raise the spirits of sick and needy kids. Once again, when your family is grieving and in greatest need of support by friends and especially family including Wade, you think not of yourselves but of others by sharing your son/brother/friend with the Ottawa Senators and all hockey fans.

I was saddened to hear of the Redden family's loss. Pat was one of the people who made Lloydminster a wonderful place in the time I was there. My condolences to the family.

It is with sadness that we hear of Pat's passing. Spent many years at school with Pat, in the hockey life and always she was a great motivator, upbeat person and fun to be around. You will all miss her dearly. Dwain & Colleen
