Obituary of Doreen Callbeck

BI O G R A P H Y CALLBECK: Doreen Louise Callbeck passed away in the Riverside Health Complex, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at the age of 79 years. Doreen is survived by: her six children: Doug (Betty), Duane (JoAnn), Lynn, Keith (Sue), Leigh (Mike) Fortier and Kathy (David ) Conacher; and eleven grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives and friends. Doreen was predeceased by her husband Henry on July 22, 2006. The funeral service for Doreen was conducted from the Good Shepherd United Anglican Church, Turtleford, Saskatchewan on Thursday, January 25, 2007 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon Don Skinner officiating. A eulogy was given by Betty Callbeck. The hymn sung was “In The Garden,” accompanied on the organ by Bev Meikle. Active pallbearers were: George Darragh, Albert Darragh, Brian Quinn, Murray Knight, Randy Domes and Fraser Dudley. Interment followed in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements. The family would like to express our deepest thanks to Dr. Shoaib, the nursing staff and hospital staff of the Riverside Health Complex in Turtleford. We appreciate the kindness shown to our mother and ourselves during this trying time. We would like to thank Reverend Canon Don Skinner for the beautiful service and Bev Meikle the organist. We thank Reverend Skinner and Marg Uhlig for the special song. We would like to thank the pallbearers for their services. Also the lunch served by the ladies after the service was wonderful. Thank you for all the cards, flowers, food, phone calls and visits – the support was appreciated. We appreciate all donations to the Turtleford Health Centre – Palliative Care Unit – what a wonderful facility our community has. Donations in memory of Doreen may be made to the Riverside Health Complex Palliative Care.
