Obituary of Douglas Heitt

BIOGRAPHY HEITT ~ Douglas "Dougie" John Heitt passed away peacefully in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the age of 49 years. Douglas will be sadly missed by his siblings: Cal and Chris Heitt, Charlotte and Ed Boyer, Brian and Irene Heitt, Phyllis and George Wildeman as well as numerous nieces and nephews. The prayer service was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Thursday, November 3, 2011 at 7:00 P.M. with Father Jan Sobkowicz officiating. Leader of song was Verna McFarlane accompanied on the piano by Melanie Pellerin. The mass of Christian burial was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, November 4, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jan Sobkowicz officiating. The eulogy was read by Christine Heitt. Leader of song was Lani Burry accompanied on the piano by Melanie Pellerin. The honorary pallbearers were All Those Who Shared In Dougie's Life. The active pallbearers were Troy Wildeman, Derek Boyer, Sheldon Heitt, Brennon Heitt, J.R. Brown and Chris Hager. The interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS We the family, would like to thank Dr. Sayeed, and all the wonderful nurses at the Dr. Cooke for all the care and compassion shown to Douglas and our family. A thank you to all who participated in any way at the prayer service and funeral. Thank you to all our family and friends for the cards, food, flowers, visits, phone calls and prayers through this difficult time.
