B I O G R A P H Y
FINNESTAD: Norman Oscar Finnestad passed away in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, March 28, 2008 at the age of 77 years.
Norman is survived by: five children: Victor & Cheryl Finnestad of Blackfoot, Raymond & Lori Finnestad of Edmonton, Ronald & Patricia Finnestad of Whitecourt, Donna and Brian Reinhart of Lloydminster, Cheryl and Scott Tupper of Marwayne; eleven grandchildren, four great grandchildren, two sisters: Vivian (George) Duchesne of Stettler, Dorothy (Maurice) Dube of Sylvan Lake; two brothers: Ken (Frieda) Finnestad of Hanley, Harvey (Bette) Finnestad of Spruce Grove as well as numerous other relatives and friends.
Norman was predeceased by his wife Margaret and his son Brian.
The funeral service for Norman was conducted from the First Lutheran Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, April 1, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Nolan Astley officiating.
A eulogy was given by Harvey Finnestad.
The hymn sung was "Amazing Grace," accompanied on the organ by Brenda Findlay.
Special CD music "Angel's Among Us," "Daddy's Hands," and "Grampa" was played.
Honorary pallbearers were all those in attendance and special friends: Lyle and Margaret Finlin and Bryan Johre.
Active pallbearers were: Tara Ferguson, Brent Finnestad, Shinnel Diachinsky, Jennifer Reinhart, Melissa Schneider, Crystal Finnestad, Steven Tupper, Jessica Tupper, Chantell Finnestad, Shawn Finnestad and Jay Tupper.
Interment followed in the Kitscoty Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster administered the funeral arrangements.

The Family would like to thank the caregivers at the Dr. Cooke for their outstanding care and making Dad enjoy where he was, McCaw Funeral Service for making the arrangements, Pastor Nolan Astley for his cherished words, Brenda Findlay for playing Dad's favorite hymns and the Kitscoty Hall Ladies for the lunch. Special thanks to all friends and family for the donations, flowers, food, cards and calls. We appreciate and will always remember the thoughtfulness shown to our family.
