Obituary of Tyra Chief

Tyra Lynn Chief passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 29, 2024, in Onion Lake at the age of 26 years.

Tyra is forever loved and deeply missed by: her mother, Rhoda Chief; children, Maleyah, Masson and Raiden; grandmother (Kokom), Susan Chief; siblings, Tyrell (Angel) and Lacey (Jacey); uncles, Eugene, Lyle, Fred and Francis; aunts, Yvonne, Evelyn and Darlene; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Tyra was predeceased by: her maternal great-grandparents, Norman and Alvina Chief; grandparents, Hubert and Clement Cardinal; Norma Chief, Betty Chief, Lorraine Chocan, Lydia Chief, Arnold Chief, David Chief, Charles Chief, Blake Chief, Gina Chief, Chantel Chief, Arlene Kaiswatum, Patric Wolfe, Christy Chief, Sandy Chief, Jordan Rabbit and Joshawa Rabbit.

Tyra was a loving mother to her three beautiful babies; she was a hard worker and always on the go, because of her go getter attitude she impacted many people’s lives. She was constantly on the phone with family and friends, making sure everything was ok and keeping up to date on what was happening with everyone. She was happy, outgoing and she lived everyday like it was her last. Tyra loved going to places, traveling and meeting new people, if someone was going, she was right there with them. She loved to cook, clean, and always would ensure that others ate before she sat to eat herself. Tyra was very nurturing and her motherly instinct was always in effect. She took care of anyone she could, and her home was always open to family and friends. Tyra will be forever missed by all that knew her.

The Funeral Service for Tyra will be conducted from Onion Lake Communiplex, Onion Lake, Saskatchewan on Saturday, January 4, 2025 at 11:00 am.
