Obituary of Anne Burak
Anne Marie Burak-Gardiner, 56, of Lloydminster, AB, passed away on December 25, 2024 in Edmonton, AB.
Anne was born in St. Walburg, SK to Joseph and Doris Winkler on April 9th, 1968. She grew up on the farm just outside of town with her brothers, Ken and Wayne Winkler. After realizing the farm life wasn’t for her, she proudly became a mom to three wonderful sons and moved to Marshall, SK where they lived for 16 years. In 2006, Anne moved to Lloydminster where she met Bob Gardiner who quickly became the love of her life. She gained two stepsons and later became grandma to eight beautiful grandkids who she loved dearly.
Anne held a few different careers throughout the years. Whether it be in retail or the medical field, she always enjoyed helping others. In 2022, Anne found her true calling as a healthcare aide and loved working at Jubilee Home. She always talked so highly of her coworkers and took pride in caring for the residents.
Anne was a very outgoing and social person. Her smile and bubbly personality lit up any room she entered and her laugh was infectious. In her spare time, you would fine Anne playing with her grandkids, enjoying tea with a friend, or traveling with Bob.
Anne is survived by: her loving partner, Bob Gardiner of Lloydminster, AB; her three sons, Travis (Brooklyn), Matthew (Chardel) and Scott (Amanda); two stepsons, Chris and Ryan Gardiner; and eight grandchildren, Lucas, Mila, Mariya, Madeline, Michael, Hudson, Lux and Thomas.
She is predeceased by: her parents, Joseph and Doris Winkler.
The Funeral Service will be conducted from Our Lady of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in St. Walburg, SK on Wednesday, January 8, 2025 at 11:00AM CST. A Celebration of Life and interment will take place at a later date.
