The news was inevitable but not a cheery message.In thinking about Cecil and the many years we worked beside one another at
the Husky Gully Lake unit many memories have come up.One that really stands out is New Years day of 1975.In the morning it was very,very cold and crispy!!About mid morning I met up with Cecil and he said that he had a well that needed a change of belts.
(That was a job that no individual should attempt).So off we went and upon completion he said to me,"why don't you join us for supper later on we are having company and one more won't matter.
So around 5:00 I arrived at Skolrood's farm and besides all of them there were the Yeos,the Danychuks,and a few other folks whose names I can't bring to mind right now.But a good bunch and definitely funlovers.We very much enjoyed a fantastic meal and after that we played cards.So a very good time was had by all.Certainly not a bad way to spend New Years even if we did have to work.
