Victor Zadery, aged 86, peacefully passed away on September 12, 2024.

Vic was born in Blaine Lake, SK to parents Isaac and Dora Zadery. He grew up in Wakaw, SK in a farming community with his parents and two brothers, Mike and Peter. Vic met the love of his life, Viola Harder and were married that same year on October 9, 1959. They made their homes in Swift Current and Lloydminster, SK.

Vic will be remembered by his son, Brian; son, Barry (Maxine) with grandson’s Matthew and Lucas; and son, Dennis (Lorraine) with grandson’s Evan and Ryan; and many cherished nieces and nephews.

Vic was predeceased by his wife, Vi (d. 2013); parents; brother, Mike; brothers-in-law, Ted Rude and Gerry Rushton; and sister-in-law, Rose Rushton.

Vic worked in the oil industry for Sage, Variperm Energy Services and ExxonMobil over 40 years. He also volunteered for his son’s hockey and baseball teams, served on the hockey board of directors, was an umpire and referee and was a member of the Kiwanis. He loved woodworking and made many model cars and board games for his family. Vic loved to garden and had a flare for canning his sauerkraut, pickles, carrots, beets and jam. While filling his job obligations checking pump jacks, Vic excelled at finding the best saskatoon patches. Vi hated being on water but endured countless boating trips with Vic who loved to fish. They loved to play cards, games and shuffleboard, watch curling events and his beloved Toronto Blue Jays and Maple Leaf’s.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the caregivers at Jubilee Home for their compassionate care for Vic.
