BEAUMONT - Violet Amelia Beaumont passed away peacefully at the Islay Assisted Living Facility, Islay Alberta on Monday, September 21, 2009 at the age of 86 years.
Violet was born September 14, 1923 at Metiscow, Alberta; the second child of John Robert and Hannah Quist.
Violet is survived by her husband of 64 years Howard Beaumont of Marwayne; four children: Linda Dent of New Zealand, Sharon (Bill) Bieber and Grace (Barry) Richards of Calgary, Joyce (Jerry) Zimmerman of Lloydminster; seven grandchildren and three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and 4 step great-grandchildren; and by siblings Dorothy Anderson of Saskatoon, Ruth (Alec) Doull of Edmonton, Cecil (Elenore) Quist of Calgary, Doreen Peterson of Edmonton and Ted (Isabel) Quist of Marwayne.
The funeral service for Violet was conducted from the Marwayne Alliance Church, Marwayne, Alberta on September 30, 2009 with Rev. Art Quist officiating. The musicians were the Quist Quartet. The hymns sung were "Leaning on the Everlasting Arms', "He The Pearly Gates Will Open", and "What a Day That Will Be" with "Where the Roses Never Fade" and "I Call It Home" sung as special selections.
The pallbearers were Tim Bieber, Nigel Richards, Brad Ambler, Shawn Heatley, Doug Quist and Robert Quist. Interment took place in the Marwayne Cemetary.
The funeral arrangements were administered by McCaw Funeral Service Ltd. of Lloydminster.

The family of Violet Beaumont thank their family and friends for all the visits, phone calls, food, flowers, cards, and generous donations during this time of loss. Also, thank you to the Marwayne Alliance Church ladies for the lovely lunch following the funeral.

The family extends heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Stewart-Hunter, Kitscoty Home Care and all the Islay Staff for their most excellent care and compassion towards Violet these past six years.
Also, special thanks to Dale McCaw and staff for your kindness and tender-hearted administration of all the funeral details. It was greatly appreciated.
