Obituary of Jean de Kock

Jeannine “Jean” Irene Marie de Kock (Watier) (nee Lamontagne)

January 21, 1940 – May 12, 2024

It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing of our dear mother, Jean, at Lloydminster Hospital on May 12, 2024 at the age of 84 years.

Jean was an extraordinary wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and volunteer. She grew up in the farming community of D’Amour, SK, where she embraced and passed on lifelong values of family, honesty and hard work to her children. She was an active and beloved member of  St. Anthony Parish community and CWL where she had many treasured friends and was well loved by all who knew her. Jean will be remembered for her deep faith, her selflessness and her strong devotion to family and friends. She will also be remembered for her warm hugs and ready smile, her love of dancing and gardening, her desire to reuse and recycle in an effort to take care of this earth and of course her enviable head of hair. Jean had a real sense of humor and found a way to smile right to the end, her heart touching the lives of so many people. She was one of a kind and to be loved by her was to be truly blessed.
