BIOGRAPHY
JONES ~ Sidney George Lewellyn Jones passed away peacefully at the Pine Island Lodge, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Tuesday, October 20, 2009 at the age of 92 years.
Sid is predeceased by his parents, James Percy and Letitia Anne; daughter, Brenda; brother, James; sister, Alice; wife, Anna; son James(Jim). He is survived by daughter-in-law, Miriam; granddaughter, Brenda Fontaine(husband, Dan and great grand children Quinn, Raeff, and Tienn), granddaughter, Heather Olson (husband, Phillip), granddaughter, Pamela; son, George(wife Pat) granddaughter, Clara and great grandchildren Mickayla, Emily, Victoria, grandsons Curtis, Carson; daughter Mildred Nygren (husband, Charles) grandsons Greg, Geoff and Ian (Christine); son Arthur (wife Mary-Ann) grandchildren James (Tasha), Letitia, Dennis, Margaret, Maria, Charles, Alice; son John (wife Iris) grandson, Douglas (Stephanie) great grandchildren Foster, Elizabeth; grandson, Jonathon.
The funeral service was conducted from the Maidstone United Church, Maidstone, Saskatchewan on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 10:00 A.M. with Reverend Ean Kasper officiating.
The eulogy was read by Art Jones.
The hymns sung were The Church In The Wildwood and Unto The Hills accompanied on the piano and organ by Marlene Hanson and Marie Ferguson.
A Legion Honor Guard was in attendance.
The active pallbearers were grandsons: Curtis, Carson, Greg, Geoff, Ian, James, Dennis, Charles, Douglas and Jonathon.
Interment took place in the Paynton Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.

The family of the late Sidney Jones would like to thank the Doctors, Nurses and Hospital Staff at Pine Island Lodge as well as the Home Care Nurses for the excellent care given to Sidney.
Thank you to the Reverend Ean Kasper, Marlene Hanson, Marie Ferguson and the choir for all you did for us at the funeral service.
Thank you to the ladies for preparing and serving the funeral lunch, for all the cards, flowers and donations - thank you.
To everyone - your thoughtfulness at this time will always be remembered.
