Obituary of Amanda Wild

WILD ~ Amanda Wild passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital on Tuesday, November 3, 2009 at the age of 96 years. Amanda was born on February 5, 1913 at Fenwood, Saskatchewan to Ingeborg and Haakon Holmedal, she was one of eleven children.
Amanda will be sadly missed by her daughter Shirley Stieb; one daughter-in-law Pat Wild; five grandchildren: Gord Stieb (Marlene), Greg Stieb (Linda); Sheila Stovra (Kelly), Denise Wild (Bob Brow), Rod Wild (Irene Regner); nine great grandchildren: Andrea Storko (Greg), Travis Stieb (Chelsey Musselmon), Sarah Moier, Morgan Stieb, Lee Stieb, Brennon Robb, Amanda Robb, Rachel Stieb and Rebecca Stieb; one great great grandson Mason Storko and numerous other relatives.
Amanda was pre-deceased by her husband Herbert Wild; one son Gordon Wild; one son-in-law Doug Stieb; her parents and ten siblings.
The funeral service was conducted from Knox Presbyterian Church with Reverend Allan Young officiating.
The eulogy was read by Denise Wild. A poem was read and the memory candle lit by Sheila Stovra. Surely the Presence of the Lord is in this House; Come to the water; Be not afraid; and Amazing Grace were sung by Linda Stieb, Val Bauer and Julie Berg accompanied by Cis Nakonechny.
The active pallbearers were Rod Wild, Greg Stieb, Gord Stieb, Travis Stieb, Lee Stieb and Brennen Robb.
Interment took place in the Lloydminster City Cemetery.

The family of Amanda Wild would like to thank the ambulance attendants, ER staff, Dr. Chan, the nursing and all the staff on the third floor, Home Care Nurses, the staff at Pioneer Lodge and Points West.
We would also like to thank McCaw Funeral Service for their compassionate care and guidance.
The Reverend Allan Young for officiating at the service. Linda, Val, Julie and Cis for their lovely music, the pallbearers.
We wish to thank the ladies at the Legacy Centre for preparing and serving a delicious lunch.
Thank you for cards, flowers, donations and phone calls and for attending the service.
