So sorry to hear of Vernon's passing
I used to hang out at his house as a kid when visiting my grandpa and grandma, Huron and Annie Marlatt.
I got to meet up and visit with Vernon after Lashburn days last year. Though he didn't remember me as Bernice babysat me, I remembered him and oved reminiscing and hearing stories about the town and family. A short visit as I think he had a golf game to get to .8>Lived life to the fullest. Best wishes to all who loved and knew him.

Sincere Sympathy to all of Vernon’s family. May the precious memories of times spent with him bring comfort during this time of sorrow,
We remember the times he attended Cribbage Tournaments at Hillmond and he would always bring along friends to join in the activities.
It was obvious he lived life to the fullest. Hugs and love.

Condolences to all Vern's family,
All we can say is what a wonderful man and we were honoured to know him. Vern was a good friend to my Mom at Pioneer Lodge. When she was in the hospital he visited her every day and always brought a treat! When she got back to the Lodge the visits and treats continued and even a few trips in the Caddie!!! What a treasure he was. Always had time for a chat and a hug.

Vernon and Berenice were our neighbors for 35 years and what great neighbors they were! Vernon would work at the farm all day and as soon as he got home would jump in and help us with whatever we were doing. Vernon was also a very important person in building and maintaining the Lashburn Golf Course and of course he was a dedicated member for the rest of his life. Our condolences to your whole family. Cherish those special memories of him as we all will.

It was an honour to have known Vern, he was a hard working, generous man. We will miss seeing his caddie drive into the yard for a visit, laughs at his adventures, and hugs when he drove off.
Heaven truly gained an angel in Vern and we will miss you dearly
Rest in peace

Our condolences to Vernon’s family. He was a special man and we heard many good stories about Vernon. Vernon’s wife and my mother were cousins so we have known Vernon fir many years. Also Vernon’s brother, Don was married to my mother’s sister so we are related. Vernon was a comical guy and we always enjoyed a visit. We are so glad that we got to share in his last few birthday parties. I also spent lots of time with his children when we were growing up and have remained good friends. Vernon was certainly someone to look up to. May he rest in peace
