Obituary - Edith Rachel Slager
On November 10, 2009 Edith Slager passed away quietly at her home in Edmonton at the age of ninety one. She was a long time resident of Lloydminster, moving there with her husband in 1948 and residing there until 2003. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, great grandmother and cherished friend. Funeral services were held in the McCaw Funeral Chapel on November 16th.
She was predeceased by her husband Tom in November 2001 and her granddaughter Dana in January 1992. She leaves to mourn her passing her daughters Derry Martens (Steven) of Scotch Creek BC and Dixie Henderson (Stewart) of Edmonton. She will be sadly missed by her granddaughters Robin Chopko (Chris), Jodi Eldridge (Max) and Lauren Henderson and her great grandson Tyler Eldridge.
The family wishes to thank their many friends and relatives for their words of comfort and support and requests that donations in lieu of flowers be sent to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
