Obituary of Gail Powers

The Powers family is heartbroken to share the news of the passing of their cherished matriarch, Gail Powers. Surrounded by her loving family, Gail peacefully departed this world on August 23, 2023. Her loss is deeply felt, and her memory will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Gail's legacy is carried on by her devoted daughter, Kelsey (Scott) and grandsons Micah and Leo, and daughter Coleen who will forever hold her close in their hearts. She is also survived by her siblings, Daryl (Diane), Chad (Mag) , and Patrice (Bryan); as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins, all touched by her kindness and love.

Gail Powers entered this world on December 10, 1950, in Neilburg, SK, marking the beginning of a life that would leave an indelible mark on those around her. Her formative years were spent on the enduring Powers farm situated outside of Marsden, SK. For over three decades, she dedicated herself to the students of Kitscoty Jr/Sr High School, where she nurtured young minds, imparting not just knowledge, but also a love for learning and a sense of purpose.

Gail's life was a tapestry woven with threads of family, adventure, and passion. Her boundless energy and love for her family was evident in every gesture and moment she shared with them. She nurtured her daughters with unwavering care, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, guidance, and a deep sense of belonging. Among Gail's many passions, her love for travel and cycling stood out prominently. She had a zest for exploring the world, an adventurous spirit, and loved to experience all different cultures.

Gail Powers leaves behind a legacy of love, adventure, and family devotion.
