BIOGRAPHY
CLEVE ~ Helen Cleve passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Thursday, November 26, 2009 at the age of 97 years.
Helen will be sadly missed by her children: Delbert and Alvina Griffith of Lloydminster, John and Sheila Griffith of Lloydminster, Marlene and John Packman of Sherwood Park, Vern and Judy Cleve of Bonnyville; twelve grandchildren; thirty three great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; two brothers: Charlie & Doreen Lypkie of Lloydminster, Martin Lypkie of Whitecourt; one sister Annie Lypkie of Kinistino as well as numerous other relatives.
The funeral service was conducted from the First Baptist Church, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Monday, November 30, 2009 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Ta Tumu officiating.
The eulogy was read by Alan Griffith.
The hymns sung were What A Friend We Have In Jesus and The Old Rugged Cross accompanied on the organ by Ruth Knispel.
The active pallbearers were Wayne Griffith, Ken Griffith, Doug Griffith, Alan Griffith, Michael Cleve and Ron Cleve.
Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
CARD OF THANKS
The family would like to thank the ladies from Home Care for their help while Mom was still in her own home; the staff at Pioneer Lodge and Jubilee Home for their care and compassion. We would like to thank Pastor Ta Tumu for his sincere and meaningful service. We also extend our gratitude to Ruth Knispel and Bethany Olson for their beautiful music; and also to grandson, Alan Griffith, for preparing and delivering the eulogy. We also express our appreciation to the pallbearers, the Baptist Church ladies for providing the lunch, all those who sent flowers, cards and donations. Thanks to those who brought baking to the house. Thanks also for all the phone calls and visits. Special thanks to the McCaw family for their professionlism, their compassionate, caring help at a time when they themselves are also grieving the loss of a loved one.
