Obituary of Randy Murray
Randall “Randy” James Murray passed away on June 17, 2023, at the age of 70 years. After a year long battle with brain cancer, he passed away peacefully in Lloydminster Hospital with his wife and his brother at his side.
Randy leaves to mourn his passing: his wife, Rhonda; brother, Jamie and Jamie’s 4 children, Kirk (Krista) and children, Natalie, Greyson and Lexi; Lacey (Dylan) Belliveau and children, Paisley and Bristol; Clint (Ashley) and children, Grace and Elsie; Carmen (Kyle) Kimball and children, Louie and Hank. Randy’s niece, Brandy; nephew, Rob (Heather) and their children, Kailee, Kacie and Brynn.
Randy was predeceased by: his parents, James and Ann (Fasenko) Murray; brother, Daryl; and both sisters- in-law, Evon and Sandra.
Randy will be dearly missed by his cousins and his in-laws who considered him one of their own.
Randy grew up on a farm near Marwayne where he attended school. He started working immediately after graduating, including 25 years at Nelson Lumber and almost 20 more with Woodvale Builders. All the while continuing to farm evenings and weekends. Few could out-work Randy.
His skills as a carpenter and fixer of all problems touched many lives over the years. His favourite thing to do was to have coffee at the farm or with his construction colleagues. And once all problems had been discussed then it was time to go to work!
There was nothing more important to Randy than family and friends. When you think of him, remember his generosity, that willingness to help everyone and his sense of humour. Randy was salt of the earth, a much-loved son, brother, uncle, husband and friend.
The Memorial Service for Randy will be conducted from Grace United Church. Lloydminster, AB on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM. If you are unable to attend in person, you may view the live streaming of the service posted on McCaw Funeral Service website under Randy's obituary at the time of service.
Donations in Randy’s memory may be made to either the Canadian Cancer Society or Lloydminster Region Health Foundation.
