Our thoughts and sympathies are with you all at this time. I'd also like to thank Karena and Chris for reading the eulogy, not an easy thing to do but fascinating to hear Rene's story. I believe I only met Rene once along with Karena and Amanda many years ago when they visited London and stayed with Dot Myers.

We are so very sorry to hear of Rene's passing and send our sincerest sympathy to all the Johner family. I remember meeting Jack and Rene many years ago in Sandringham Crescent(London)with my late father and was fascinated to hear about life in Canada. If I remember correctly I believe Jack was looking to buy a bull to take back to the farm in Canada! Stay strong and remember all the fantastic memories you have made over the years. Sending my sympathies and thoughts to all my family in Canada from here in England. My Great-Aunt was truly remarkable, loving, caring and will always hold a special place in my heart. I will forever hold dear memories of her visits to see my Nan in London when I was younger (many years ago now!). I was always fascinated to hear about stories of her (very) large family in somewhere so different to London. It was amazing to then visit and stay with Rene and Jack on a few occasions (particularly when together with my Nan). If I have any regrets it is not being able to visit more and that my Great-Aunt wasn't able to meet my own (large-ish) family - I think she would have been amused by the often cheeky behaviour of my children - her sister definitely was!!
