My heartfelt condolences to Bert's family.
I met Bert when we moved with Husky to Lloydminster in 1996. Whenever I saw Bert, be it at work or walking in Bud Miller Park, he always stopped and made the time for a chat.
I will always remember and miss Bert's kind, gentle and sincere smile.

Bert was one of the kindest men I have known. The world was a much better place with Bert here. However God has better plans - and likely Bert already has a new job as a guardian angel. We cannot attend the celebration of life in person but will be with all of you in heart and in our prayers. Bert you lived life wonderfully- May we all apply the lessons we learned from you especially how to treat one another.

Bert was a lovely neighbor, often volunteering and stopping to visit or help out in any way he could. I found him to be kind, compassionate and very humble. A man who gave so much to our world in both big ways and small. As my younger son put it "God will have a banquet prepared in Heaven for him when he arrives". Thank you Bert for showing my boys a better way to be. May you rest in eternal peace.
