Obituary of Gerald Jones

BIOGRAPHY JONES - Gerald “Jerry” Kenneth Jones passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, January 6, 2010 at the age of 76 years. Jerry will be sadly missed by his wife Bernice, three children: Sharon Jones and Tom Johnstone, Geraldine Ruud and Greg Rayner, Bonnie and Gordon Johnstone; five grandchildren: Chrissy and Randy, Jessica and Jeremy, Sarah, Ashley, Kelly and Brad, two great grandsons: Dylan and Carter; three sisters: Freda Jones, Margaret Berry, Inez Martyn, as well as numerous other relatives. The memorial service was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Sue Hertell officiating. The eulogy was read by Jessica Ruud. The organist and soloist was Marlene Risling singing and playing “Amazing Grace”. A Legion Honor Guard was in attendance. Interment will be held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery at a later date. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. The family of Jerry Jones would like to thank the following: ambulance personnel, Dr. Chapelski, and the 3rd floor nurses for their excellent care. A special thanks to Dr. Snyman and Home Care for their passionate care during the past years. Thanks to Rev. Sue Hertell for her touching service, Marlene Risling for playing the organ and singing Amazing Grace. The Legion Honor Guard for their attendance and the legion ladies for the lunch. Special thanks to Jessica Ruud for giving the eulogy and to everyone who attended the service.
