Obituary of Walter Plandowski

PLANDOWSKI ~ Walter Plandowski Sr. passed away peacefully at the Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Monday, February 8, 2010 at the age of 96 years. Walter Plandowski will be sadly missed by his children: Walter and Leona Plandowski of Lloydminster, Nick and Judy Plandowski of Lloydminster, Anita and Wilbert Bechtold of Strathmore; seven grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren; one sister Sophie Babey, sister-in-law Mary Plandowski as well as numerous other relatives. The funeral service was conducted from the Knox Presbyterian Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Friday, February 12, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Allan Young officiating. The eulogy was read by Nicole Halyk. A special reading was read by Wendy Plandowski. Leader of song was Melinda Larson singing "Amazing Grace". The hymns sung were "In The Garden" and "How Great Thou Art" accompanied on the organ by Jeanette Young. The active pallbearers were grandchildren: Darryl Plandowski, Todd Plandowski, Nicole Halyk, Jason Plandowski, Blair Bechtold, Chelsea Yule, Trevor Plandowski. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS - The Plandowski family would like to thank everyone who provided their support and condolences including Reverend Allan Young, organist Jeanette Young, soloist Melinda Larson and McCaw Funeral Services Ltd.; Colleen Hozak and staff for preparing and serving lunch, Golden Valley Ladies.
