With deep sorrow, we have to say good bye to Greg at such a young age. To the family - I am soo sorry for your loss. To Greg up above - thank you for your time on Council for the Rural Municipality of Paynton #470. Judith & Mitchell: I appreciated and respected Greg's input at our monthly Council meetings especially his information, insite, and expertise related to finance, community planning and economic sustainability. Greg was a GREAT participant and team member at our recent 2-day workshop on March 5 & 6, 2010 - COMMUNITY MAPPING EXERCISE with a Planner from the City, as well as Administrators, Reeves, Councillors, and Mayors from the RM of Paynton, RM of Cutknife, Village of Paynton, Village of Waseca, and Town of Cutknife. The Rural Municipality of Paynton No. 470 will miss Greg, his contributions, and his falling asleep sometimes during our Council Meetings! I, personally, will miss my conversations with Greg about finance and small business. Greg challenged my thinking and stirred up my interest, enthusiasm, positivity and vision on local and economic possibilities. I could tell that he enjoyed his role as Councillor and several of the topics of our conversations as well. I was inspired by Greg's commitment to small community - strengthening, sustaining, and supporting. He was a community minded, intelligent soul - one to be proud of and remembered. GOD BLESS. Elaine Knowlson, Administrator Rural Municipality of Paynton #470

Judith, It hurts to know that Greg is gone, and I only know that he is one heck of a guy and is already making his mark on the side. Personally, I hope he's helping teach some of my friends. I'll miss him a lot.

My heart is with you at this time. There are no words that can heal our heavy hearts. Greg was a sweet little guy in his childhood and I will always remember his sweet, smiling face. I was honored to meet his son, Mitch, some years ago in Sherwood Park at Bill & Irene's. It seemed to me that Mitch had the same sweet disposition as his Dad. Here's a hug for Mitch - have courage - and try to remember the good times. It's not easy losing a parent - it's damned tough - and you are going to have to be strong. But I know that Bill and Irene will give you the love and support that you need now.
