BIOGRAPHY
PAVKA ~ Steve Pavka passed away peacefully at the Battleford District Care Centre, Battleford, Saskatchewan on Sunday, March 21, 2010 at the age of 89 years.
Steve will be sadly missed by his children: Donald and Sharon Pavka of Marwayne, Sheila Gordon of Saskatoon, Eileen Pavka of Saskatoon, Ian and Paulette Pavka of Mervin; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one brother John Pavka of North Battleford as well as numerous other relatives.
The funeral service was conducted from the Livelong Community Hall, Livelong, Saskatchewan on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Canon Donald Skinner officiating.
The eulogy was delivered by daughters Eileen Pavka and Sheila Gordon.
The hymns sung were "Great Is Thy Faithfulness" and "All Things Bright & Beautiful" accompanied on the organ by Darlene Kivimaa.
The Livelong Community Choir was in attendance.
A Legion Honor Guard was in attendance.
The active pallbearers were Blake Johnson, Travis Johnson, Murray Gordon, Stewart Pavka, Wes Champ and Conrad Hildebrandt.
Interment was held in the Livelong Cemetery.
McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Turtleford, Saskatchewan administered the funeral arrangements.
Donations may be made to the Legion Poppy Fund or to a charity of the donors choice.
A Memorial Tree was planted for Steve
