Obituary of Edith Cochrane

BIOGRAPHY COCHRANE ~ Edith Cochrane passed away peacefully at the Lloydminster Hospital in Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Thursday, March 25, 2010 at the age of 94 years. Edith will be sadly missed by her daughter Joyce and Doug Carson; six grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; one great great grandchild as well as numerous other relatives. The celebration of life was conducted from the Grace United Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Tuesday, March 30, 2010 at 11:00 A.M. The tributes were read by Joyce Carson and Dianne Friesen. The musicians were Linda Anderson and Lois Sonnega. The hymns sung were "Walk With Me" and "In The Bulb There Is A Flower". In the cemetery the choir sang the anthem "You Raise Me Up". Interment will be at the Forest Home Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS Edith Cochrane's family wish to thank the staff at Pioneer Lodge in Lloydminster, Doctor Kerlis and Home Care Nurses for the care she received since her move here in 2005. A very special thank you is extended to the ambulance attendants and the nursing staff of the Lloydminster Hospital. All of the cards, gifts and visits have been greatly appreciated and it was heart warming to see so many people at the Celebration of her life. We were very fortunate to have Reverend Lyn Lamers conducting the service and the Church Choir directed by Gladys Jack, in attendance with Linda Anderson and Lois Sonnega accompanying them. Edith's story was told by her daughter Joyce, with her granddaughter Dianne relating memories from some of the grandchildren and great grandchildren.
