Sincere condolences to Tony’s family. Jim got to know Tony many years ago at Universal industries. He always enjoyed stopping to talk with Tony at the home when we were in to visit my Mom. We have made a donation in his memory directly to the LCC Auxiliary. RIP Tony!

Knew him very well and his children. He was related to Iris Semeniuk (Marko)
So sorry for your loss.
Was in their house many times in Yellow Creek and also stopped in Lloydminster years ago to see them.
Thanks for letting me know.

Thank you for this bit of sad news about Tony Dorosh. I remember him like it was yesterday. Back in the mid- 1940s we had an old 15-30 tractor that my dad and older brothers used for breaking new land. The rough use led to a splitting of the cast iron main drive gear housing, between the rear driving wheels. This effectively killed the machine. Of course there was no replacement tractor, and no money even if one could be found. Father explained the situation to Tony and Tony undertook to weld the break. He could only weld the break an inch or two at a time to avoid thermal stressing the housing and totally destroying it. That would have been the end. Anyway Tony finished the repair and that tractor saw service for a long time after that. Ever since I have had an enduring debt of gratitude to Tony for what he did to help my Dad in that very tough circumstance. Of course Tony’s repair shop at the back of Watchicosky & Lesko implement dealership served the community for many many years. YC was fortunate to have such a capable and caring person play such a vital role when everyone depended on local service to meet their needs.
Thanks again for keeping me in the loop with these bits of news about Yellow Creek. It’s great to be re- connected, even if only fleetingly, to the indelible memories from the long ago time when we were young.
Stay safe and healthy.
All the best.

My condolences to Dennis, David and Allan and your families. Tony was very much a part of the fabric of life in Yellow Creek and will always be remembered by all with fond memories especially for his mechanical talents. I marvel at how God truly blessed him with many years. May his memory be eternal!
