Dear Ruth & Family:
We were so sad to hear that Bill had passed away. He was the first Mayor I worked for in my years at City Hall, and since then, has always held a special place in my heart. A true example of a great leader, he spent countless hours and had a big hand in so many successful projects. Lloydminster was very lucky to have had him as a Mayor, as well as working behind the scenes, as we know he did, for so many years. Our sincere condolences go out to you all. Sending prayers and hugs your way.

Ruth, Dawn, Heath and Mark,
Our sincere condolences go out to all of you. Bill was an exemplary community leader. He was responsible (among several other projects) for working with the Alberta Government and initiating the funding for the Leisure Centre. Many, many community members and Aquanaut and Swim club members have certainly appreciated that facility over the decades. I particularly appreciated Bill"s cooperation in always enthusiastically agreeing to present the Alberta Rutherford Scholarship certificates at Scholarship Night for many years. His dedication to service was outstanding. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Ruth, Dawn, Heath and Mark;
Bill was a quiet 'mover and shaker' in our community... he made it is won and there is nothing that Bill hasn't touched to enable Citizens of Lloydminster and area to be well served and happy.
Bill was politically so savvy- as many have said, we may never know of the thousands of hours that he put in on behalf of us all.
Raffath is fortunate to have worked with Bill in many volunteer and political initiatives over the years and Bill became very dear to Raffath- a friend and a mentor. I too had many opportunities to look up to Bill and ask his advice.
Ruth- you are not alone in your grieving. We all morn with you for this huge loss to Lloydminster.
Our prayers and with you and the family for peace and strength.
Our farewell and fervent thanks to Bill and all his vision and his leadership.
Rest in peace, Bill. We will miss you.

Ruth and family I would like to add to the loving outpour of sympathies on Bill’s passing. He has his fingerprints on many many projects around not only Lloydminster but also around Alberta. He got results. He listened and solved. If you were looking for just the right person to talk to Bill could connect you. There was so much that Bill was quietly involved with that helped our citizens.
Thank you Ruth for sharing Bill with us. He was a giant in the history of our city, region and province.

I’m deeply saddened to hear of Bill’s passing. He was such a good man, a great human being! Our community has lost a wonderful man who made such a HUGE difference; he gave so much of his time, more than anyone would know. It was a true honour to know him for many years. I will never ever forget a phone call I received from Bill one day, out of the blue, when I was just a young career woman, he called to encourage me to run for Mayor of Lloydminster and said he would support me in every way he could, had I considered running. I was never so honoured and humbled to receive such a call from someone like Bill Kondro. Thank you Bill for having that faith and trust in me.
To all his family and friends, please accept my deepest sympathy and may love that surrounds you bring comfort and peace. So long my friend. Rest In Peace.

I would like to send my condolences to the family of my friend and someone I admired greatly as a mentor, former Lloydminster Mayor Bill Kondro. I had the great pleasure of hearing his stories about the hard work he and others did to bring the Lloydminster mall to reality as well as securing the Lloydminster husky upgrader. Most would never know how much Bill did for our community behind the scenes without ever asking for or looking for any recognition. He was a part of getting our communiplex and Russ Robertson Facilities built as well as many years of leadership to Lakeland College which has a wing that bears his name just to name a few things that will forever have his mark on them. Lloydminster owes a great debt of gratitude to Bill, Ruth and their family for the countless hours he gave to our community to guide us in the direction of success and where we are today. So long my friend and thank you for everything you have done for me personally and for your community, although thank you is far short of enough.
