The Gilroyed Family is saddened to hear Lee has passed away. We grew up with Lee and his sister Kim and have many happy childhood memories. The Old Archie Miller Arena, the Outdoor Pool and the Martin Brown Playground which is no longer there served as our turf and it was there we became comrades for life. True Respect is what we had for each other and we are sure he will be missed. Our hope is that you are surrounded by much love as you deal with your loss. May the memories you hold dear keep your heart and his always connected..

We would like to send our condolences to Lee's family. I worked with Lee from 1997-2000, he was our service rig supervisor at Enerplus. He was quit the guy, very excitable but he brought a lot of passion to his job and that's what Lee will be remembered by. There wasn't a workover that Lee couldn't do or would shy away from, and if he didn't know something, he would be on the phone looking for advice and or giving advice in his special way. He was a great communicator and that's why I enjoyed working with him. One day I was sitting in the truck with him discussing the workover that was being carried out and I happen to look into the back seat. All I could see was cigarette packages, food wrappers and my workover programs. I said to Lee, WTF, why do you throw the programs in the back seat. I wrote all of those. He looks at me while winking the smoke out of his eyes and says, "Just gimme KB and I'll look after the rest". Of course I responded with a few choice words of my own. Keith Leyen used to call him a Batam Rooster, well I think I came up with a better name for him and it fits very well. RIP Yosemite Sam

The first time we met Lee he made us a fabulous Mexican stew and we brought the margaritas. We always have great memories of that day. All of our heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and special hugs to Sherri.
