Hello and please accept my condolences!
In the old days of the early 60’s, George was One of my best high school friends. Although I never met Darren I feel a kinship and sadness at his passing.
By his online service I know he had many friends who loved him; and he loved those friends and his family just as much; he lived a meaningful life.
I am very sorry for your loss.

I worked for, and recently retired from Husky. I was there long enough to know Darren’s dad George - Firstly as a coworker, and then as a supervisor... there long enough to hear George share stories of his son Darren... there long enough to see Darren hired and start his career... there long enough to hear Darren share stories of his two girls. Most importantly, there long enough to appreciate Darren for who he was. The day I retired, Darren wished me all the best, and with a joke to hide the tear, he went on his way. Since retiring, I had planned to visit the people at work; drop in for coffee, but because of circumstances... One of Darren’s lines - “if nobody bugs ya, nobody loves ya.” The take away is, enjoy every moment, value your friends, remember the good and “bug and love” all those you care for. May God’s peace give you comfort during this difficult time... Gone but not forgotten.

Fishing Lake will never be the same. I will miss fishing at Darren's favorite fishing spots, his smoked cheese, the jokes around the fire, and especially his infectious smile. My deepest sympathies go out to Darren's family, especially Emily and Amy, the two people he could not have been more proud of.
