Obituary of Ken Evans

It is with great sadness that the family of Kenneth Robert Evans announce his passing after a battle with terminal illness at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan, on Friday, June 12, 2020, at the age of 69 years.  

Ken will be lovingly remembered by: his wife, Joann of 43 years; his children, Nicole (Craig) Byrtus, Robert Evans, and Andrew Evans; as well as his brother, Victor (Marilyn) Evans.  

Ken was predeceased by: his parents, George and Elizabeth Evans.

Ken loved the outdoors and spent his free time at the family cottage in Saskatchewan. Ken was known to always have several projects on the go and lived by the motto of "waste not, want not". He enjoyed spending time with his family, birding, fishing, and sharing his faith. 

The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the members of Newlife Community Church who have shown their love and support. Thanks also to the attentive health care staff at the University of Alberta Hospital and the Lloydminster Hospital with special thanks given to the dedicated support by the Palliative Care team.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
