Obituary of Alban Amant

BIOGRAPHY ST. AMANT ~ Alban Joseph St. Amant passed away peacefully in the Dr. Cooke Extended Care Centre, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, June 16, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Alban will be sadly missed by his wife: Addie of Lloydminster, his five children: Irene Oddan of Lloydminster, Alyssa Hatter of Surrey, British Columbia, Albert and Phyllis St. Amant of Paradise Hill, Saskatchewan, Bernadette and Chris Wright of Estevan, Saskatchewan, Germaine Brand and partner Wayne King of Lloydminster; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren as well as numerous other relatives. Alban was predeceased by his first wife Yvonne as well one son Dennis. The Mass of Christian Burial was conducted from the St. Anthony's Roman Catholic Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Monday, June 21, 2010 at 10:00 A.M. with Father Jan Sobkowicz officiating. Leader of song was Marlene Risling accompanied on the organ by Donna Weston. The active pallbearers were Andrew Scheerschmidt, Marcus Scheerschmidt, Stephen Morash, Ronald Morash, Jennifer Kramps, Terry St. Amant, Tim St. Amant, Nicole St. Amant, James St. Amant, Cheryl St. Amant. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The Alban St. Amant family wish to express their gratitude to Dr. R. duPlooy and to all the Dr. Cooke staff who participated in Dad's care. Our thanks to the following: McCaw Funeral Service for organizing and overseeing the funeral arrangements; Father Jan Sobkowicz for giving Dad the sacrament of the sick and for officiating the funeral mass; the mass servers, Theresa Lacombe and Rose Cressman; soloist, Marlene Risling; organist, Donna Weston; and to the CWL ladies for providing a delicious lunch. We are also grateful to all the family and friends who came and shared in the remembrance of Alban. We thank those who sent cards, flowers and expressions of sympathy.
