I have a short little note written about my Grandfather in 1954 after his passing at a early age ! I thought it would be fitting for my Great Friend Rick !
Another Saddles empty on our cattle Range tonight
A Good cowman left this land, when the sun was at it's Hight
His Horse Stood Near, he wore his boots
When beckoned from Afar.
He Dropped his Reins and Went Away to the land where good men are.
he was called away to another land where good cowmen should be
where the Grass is Green and the water clean and the range is Broad and Free.

The best long distance relationship a guy could ever ask for !! met Rick in Belize back in 2004 We Met on the beach because I had a Cat hat on! we have tried to keep up with each other the best we could ! usually met him in Las Vegas for the con-Expo Even if it was only for a few hours to have a drink and catch up ! the last time I met him in Vegas he flew in at like midnight we were scheduled to fly out at 6 that morning ! dirty bugger kept me up all night ! It was a blast as it always was to see that (I have a lot of names I would like to call him right now but can not because my mom taught me not to) Dirty Bugger, I guess it is safe to say I am Very unhappy with that Rick !! he left all of us with so many things to talk to him about !! guess It will have to wait !!!!!
The Very Best to the whole family I am really going to miss that guy !! you all will be in our thoughts and Prayers !!

We are so very sorry to hear of Ricks passing. Both Larry and I have fond memories of Rick, his laugh, humour and quick wit. Larry & Rick in their younger days running double to Inuik & Tuk one winter, coming back with all kinds of stories & laughs. Years later we looked forward to having a visit when we were in Lloyd.
Great memories of a great guy.
Condolences to his family.
