Michelle supported the Terry Fox Run and Apple Schools program and after she took over the business I asked the employees about her and they said "She is the best boss we have ever had." I think that sums up a well lived life. Our sympathies to her family, Ted and Pat Doleman.

It was with great sadness we learned about Michelle’s passing. Our sincere condolences to Nicholas and Michelle’s family, during such a difficult time. Randy recalls Michelle’s work ethic when she first started at Super Store in Lloydminster.. She started out as a price checker and moved through the ranks into produce manager. There they spent many hours together.
Michelle was smart, hardworking and determined. Although we moved away from Lloydminster, and the years have passed, we lost touch with Michelle. However, as we read about Michelle’s life and how she was a very successful businesswomen and loved by many, we are not surprised by her successes, and the many hearts she has touched! Rest In Peace beautiful lady, Heaven has gained that beautiful smile!

My dearest cousin Michelle, such a kind person. She always took a moment or two to privately visit with me and reconnect at every family gathering. I cannot overstate the significance of those check-ins. Michelle had such empathy. Once when my son was a fussy, colicky, crying baby she took him from me and rocked him till he fell asleep! To a sleep deprived new mom that felt like the biggest gesture of love! She just gave of herself in ways that were personal and full of compassion. The world is missing a true everyday hero.

It's with a heavy heart that Tom & I convey are deepest condolences to Nicholas, Alan & Rosemary,Lynn,Wendy,Terri& Dennis and their families. Michelle had a heart of gold and was always looking to help others. She was funny strong and smart among many other attributes. How does one sum up in words the feelings that you have for a friend and co worker after so many years of sharing in each others lives day to day. We were so proud of Michelle with her new adventure in Fort McMurray and knew with her people skills and work ethic that she would excel. That she did ..and so much more. She had such a beautiful soul and has left us all with cherished memories of time spent with her. God Bless you Michelle...We will miss you.
Love Always Tom & Chris Kelly

Please accept our deepest sympathy on Michelle's passing. We were greatly saddened to hear the news. She was my son Thomas's (who is on the ASD spectrum) first employer. She not only gave an opportunity for employment to him but created a true support system in her store for him and other differently abled people.
It is very rare to find a person with an attitude like Michelle's, let alone an employer willing to give people like my son a chance at meaningful work.
I realized how unique she was in a conversation we had one day. I expressed concern that my son's vocal stimming might disturb some of her customers. She replied that she or her staff could explain his behaviour to any customer, and if they insisted on making an issue of it well then they could shop elsewhere.
I was very impressed by this, finding a person who won't shy away from standing up for people like my son is rare. She was truly a gem, and will be greatly missed.

I am deeply saddened by this horrible news. Michelle you will be so deeply and desperately missed by so many. Most of all, your beautiful son.
I will always cherish the time we had together at superstore, and the amount if times that you were a huge support in a lot of personal struggles I faced during my time there. Thank you.
Rest easy Michelle. Please say hi to my Mom for me.

I was lucky to get to know Michelle on the trip to Panama this year, as we sat together on all the plane rides and then spent most of our time together there. She was so passionate and proud of her family. She knew who she was and what she stood for. We stayed in touch and I will cherish having known her. I send my sincerest condolences to the family. She has left a huge void and I am so saddened by this horrible loss.

Tonight I chose a red candle because I I will truly miss seeing Michelle in her red jacket. Whether a friendly wave, a fun conversation, or her generous nature, connecting with Michelle always made my day special.
To you, her loved ones I am heartbroken for your loss. I loved her for her humility and down-to-earth nature and I am grateful for all the warm memories that I have of Michelle.
