Sad to hear about the death of my uncle Mac. Always looked forward to the times he would come to Ottawa to visit Gertie. Mac was always interested in going to Parliament Hill (perhaps to harness some of the hot air generated there).

It makes me very sad to hear of Mac’s passing. I was lucky enough to benefit from his generous and giving spirit. I played for the Bluebirds. Mac was always there doing what he could to support the team and cheering us on. When I went on to coach for Rusway, Mac was our manager. You couldn’t have asked for a more dedicated, trustworthy and honourable ally. Mac never had a bad thing to say about anyone and his presence always made the day brighter. Farewell dear Mac.

Uncle Mac has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. He was so good at visiting and keeping in touch with All of his brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews...and there are a Lot of us. Our Dad was his little brother so he looked out for him. When I traveled around Europe, Uncle Mac met me at Heathrow Airport and did the first part of my journey with me. He was a very special man and the best Uncle a girl could ask for. Farewell Uncle Mac. I love you!

So sorry to hear of Mac’s passing. A wonderful man who helped so many. His passion for women’s softball was so inspirational for so many years. If you could say no to Mac Fleming when he was trying to sell you a ticket, then you were among the select few. Happy Trails MAC. Many thanks.
