Sending my sincerest condolences to Marlyss' family. We worked together at Lloydminster Credit Union many years ago. I always enjoyed Marlyss' wit and no nonsense attitude toward life. I had the great fortune to run into her at the Calgary Stampede a couple of years back. Although our visit was brief we managed to catch up on our Credit Union days. I hope that good memories will help to ease your time of sorrow. Rest in peace, Marlyss.

Dear Natasha, Kara & Marlyss family
I got to know Marylss, Trevor and you two ( were tots) when I had moved to Fort Mac in 2006 as a new immigrant to Canada to work for Suncor. Trevor and Marylss were my first friends in Fort Mac and I will never forget the kindness, warmth, affection etc. It is people like your Mom that made Fort Mac such a warm place despite its cold weather.
I am sorry I lost touch since I moved to the USA. My heartfelt prayers and condolences to all of you and for Marlyss.
I will look you both up when I come to AB next time.
God Bless you all and Marlyss!

My condolences to Natasha, Kara and the whole family. The service today was beautiful and I'm sure Marlys would have been beaming listening to all the wonderful tributes. I realised that I knew Marlys in such a small way and that there were so many lives she touched. She will never be forgotten and whenever I think of her, it will be with a smile. What a very special person she was.

Marlyss was an absolutely remarkable and inspiring person! I will never forget her. She positively impacted my life in so many ways. I really enjoyed working with her and hanging out with her as well.
I knew Marlyss for 8 years. She was responsible for bringing me back to Suncor after a 4 year break. She hugged me every morning for the first week when I returned. I miss those hugs!
She was definitely a devoted and loving mother who was intensely proud of her daughters. She will be watching over them.
May she rest in peace.

I had the joy of getting to know Marlyss briefly when she joined my Kundalini Yoga class last Fall. I loved her light energy, interest and concern for others and her commitment to her personal growth. When she spoke of her beautiful daughters her face would light up! I am saddened to hear of her passing, and my deepest sympathy go out to her girls and family.

I am so very sorry to hear of Marlyss' passing. We had not met in person, but were part of an online group who chatted almost daily. After a rather challenging winter, she was having such a wonderful time in Maui with the girls (who she loved to the moon and back) - and had shared an early morning video with us on Sunday as she went out for an early morning whale watching trip. So it was quite a shock to hear of her accident. Blessings to all of you.

Marlyss was a beautiful soul. I remember one day I was really stressed out about something in my personal life and she was mentoring me at work. She stopped all she was doing and asked how I was feeling and gave me really good life advice. I remembered thinking how sweet and caring she was and how lucky her daughters were to have such a loving and caring mom. She often spoke of her daughters as they meant the world to her. I pray for her daughters and her family to find peace in this difficult time. Marlyss you will be forever missed. I wish I had had more time to spend with you during your short stay here on earth. Hoping you are in a much much better place now.
