Sending condolences to Bill's family & friends on his passing. We've had great laughs & conversations in Mazatlan with Bill over the years. He had an amazing amount of knowledge and always had an opinion on community and national events.
Bill was the one to go when you were looking for someone (residents, tenants or staff) at Gaviotas. He had many friends in the Mazatlan community & especially at the Racquet Club. He will truly be missed. Rest in Peace Bill.

I will always celebrate your life through the grandkids we share together. I will always share with them the memories I have of you. I will always remember how proud you were of the Friedricks being part of the Barr Colonists who settled in this area. Your dedication to your family history and your loyalty to your heritage was admirable to us all. RIP Bill. You will be greatly missed.

Condolences to Betty and family. We have many memories of Bill in Mazatlan. He was always friendly to everyone else who came into the Racquet Club. He was like the honorary Mayor after his Mom Alana passed away. We will miss him. Doc & Lynn

I will definitely miss this guy!!! He was the self-appointed Gaviotas gate keeper … always there to say Hi or Bye to everyone. Bill was my “go-to” guy. He would always guide me to whatever I needed … direct me to whoever I was looking for. I am very lucky to have known his soft side and sweetness and I will miss his clever come backs and quick wit.
Sending my sincere condolences to the family and to all those who loved him & will miss him.
I am thankful that our paths crossed during my lifetime. Rest in peace mon ami.

Bill did love his fishing and hunting, right before hunting season would open, Bill and I would drive around the fields and back roads, as he was always looking for the best one, well on more than occasion I would be climbing out the window going for help, his words going into it was always the same, oh we can get thru this, weather it be mud, snow or trees, and here I go walking again, but so much fun at the same time, we were able to go on those back roads this fall again,
My life will never be the same without you, you will be in my heart forever
I Love you so much,
D

You showed me a lot of things.
I learned a lot I didn't know,
But you forgot to teach me one last thing -
How to let go
He was a great big brother
Miss you Billy

Bill has been a part of our family for over 30 years and a welcome addition. We know Bill as a very caring, generous man that definitely had a interesting sense of humour and a love for life. He cared deeply for our sister Betty and for that we are forever grateful. Memories of Bill will forever remain in our hearts and a smile on our faces when we think back on times spent together.
He will be greatly missed and never forgotten.

We have spent the past 12 winters with Bill in Mazatlan Mexico. Nearly every day we would walk to a favorite coffee shop and would solve the worlds problems. As Bills condo was at the main gate he would meet everyone who came to the Racquet Club. If you were looking for someone or someones name Bill was the go to guy. We played crib every week and he would win far more pesos than the rest of us.
We will miss bill very much and he is in a better place.

Hi everyone, something I believe Bill would like. Post a memory. We all are sorry for the lost of a loved one. I will start.
I have shared a few hours in a boat fishing with Bill. Was with him the day he caught a 22 lb plus pike at Porter Lake. We struggled to land that fish for 20 minutes. Passed through our dip net so the net was now hanging on Bill’s rod. Bill excitedly barking out, “Grab him with your hands!” and me yelling back “You grab him!” .
Jim and John lent us the net from their boat. Using it like a pancake turner, I flipped that pike into the boat at Bill’s feet. Looking like a small shark flopping around at his feet, I can still hear Bill’s words (edited for family content) “Pass me the axe, pass me the axe!!”
