Louis "Lou" Henry Barthel passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Saturday, December 1, 2018 at the age of 76 years.

Lou is survived by: his loving wife of 50 years, Elaine; his two daughters, Karen (Daryl) Tennant and Brenda (Tracy) Gower;  his seven grandchildren, Cole (Samantha) Gower, Dane Gower (special friend, Haley), Kade Gower (special friend, Julie), Jared Tennant, Jenna Tennant, Zachary Tennant and Wyatt Tennant; his great-grandson, Beau Gower; his brother; Doug (Joyce) Barthel; his sister, Marie (Randy) Propp; his brothers-in-law, Dale (Shirley) Madden, Myles (Patsy) Lantz, Larry (Charlene) Lantz and Glen (Donna) Lantz; his sisters-in-law, Debbie Barthel, Violet Lantz, Eunice (Maurice) Sergent and Donna (Frank) McAllister; his special aunt, Bernice (Willy) Krutow; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Lou·was predeceased by: his parents, Henry and Bessie Barthel; his brother and sister-in-law Ken and Annette Barthel; his brother, Jerry Barthel; and his sister, Deloris Madden

The Celebration of Life for Lou will be conducted from the Kitscoty Community Hall, Kitscoty, Alberta on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at 2:00 PM.

Donations in memory of Lou may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, Kitscoty Cemetery or Kitscoty Community Hall.
