Stella was my great grandmother. I was not always in her life but when I did see her she always called me my girl and was happy to see me. a memory of Stella and her personality ....
At my auntie Kendra's wedding I asked her if I could get her a drink. Gmas Stella said "yes,I will take a scotch". Not knowing if she actually was kidding or not I asked someone if she could have a scotch and the reply was " when you get to be as old as her you can have what ever you want" lol. I thought to myself ,yes that is a fair statement ,so I poured her a good one. That memory always made me smile about her. I hope one day I will get to be as old as she was so that I too can have what ever I want. Rest in peace Grandma Stella.xoxo
