Such beautiful words Doug and Ken. Your Mom was indeed a beautiful treasure. Yep, that's what I remember as well: the garden, rows upon rows, and even at a young age marvelled at the lack of weeds; and the food, especially the pies. Thoughts and prayers to all of you.
