Rest in peace grandpa in heaven. I am sad to see you go. Our family loved you very much! Erica loved visiting you with gramma and Lachlan loved rocking on your chair with you! These are memories my kids will never forget! You always had a smile and a huge hug and a kiss for everyone. Your laugh was always loud and contagious and you always spoke your mind. Everyone who met you liked you!
You will be in our hearts and minds forever!
Rest and enjoy the next chapter in heaven! I will see you again ❤️

This message comes to you all, Mackenzie’s family, from his only remaining sibling, Allan, and his family here in NL. We are deeply saddened to hear of Mackenzie’s passing but we trust that God will comfort you and surround you with love in this difficult time. We pray that the resurrection promise will give you the hope you need in these difficult days. Although Mackenzie has been away from here for many years now, Allan certainly appreciated his weekly phone call as they stayed in contact sharing childhood memories and keeping up on family comings and goings. Since Reece’s death especially, the connection with Mackenzie was especially important to Allan as they were the only three full-siblings out of the blended family of twelve children. Do know your husband, father, grand and great-grandfather will be remembered dearly by his brother Allan and family here in NL. With love, Allan and Mildred, Bill, Danny and families, Merritt’s Harbour, NL.

We were neighbors to Mackenzie and Lorene for eight years.
He was a very neighbourly and caring man.
He would watch out for our house if we were away and always ready for a conversation
Great sense of humour
When we moved to an an acreage, he jumped in with the movers and came with us to unload. At lunch he asked if he could say a prayer to bless our house.
So nice.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Lorene and family
