MEAKIN ~ Agnes "Ginger" Meakin passed away in the Maidstone hospital on Wednesday, November 10, 2010 at the age of 96 years.
Ginger was born in Bradford, England December 18, 1913. She married and moved to Canada in 1945. Mom and Dad farmed in the Cozy Nook district till 1959. Then they moved to Neilburg where Ginger worked in the Post Office for 18 years. She was a member of the Hospital Auxiliary for 20 years and she was very active in the United Church and Neilburg Seniors which she had a lifetime membership. Ginger was predeceased by her parents Annie and Walter Dobson, sister Edna, brother Stephen and husband Walter. Ginger is survived by her daughter Elaine (Don) Tomayer, grandson Pat (Jen) Tomayer, granddaughters: Sherry (Rick) Squire, Chris (Jim) Gullett, two great grandsons: Ryan and Harley, one great granddaughter Sara as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by her daughter and son-in-law, grandchildren and great grandchildren which were the love of her life and also family and friends and everyone who knew her.
