Obituary of Mary Parkin

BIOGRAPHY PARKIN ~ Mary Sophie Parkin passed away in the Jubilee Home, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Wednesday, November 17, 2010 at the age of 87 years. Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter Marie and Dale Columbine of Lloydminster, son James and Shirley Parkin of Lloydminster; grandchildren: Lane and Christine Columbine and their children Elias and Liam of Lloydminster, Lana and Richard Allan and their children Kevin and Kyle of Lloydminster, Alan and Tammy Parkin and their children Kyla, Samantha and Avery of Hardisty; Ken Parkin of Lloydminster; sisters: Rose Blair of Vermilion, Louise Tverdeay of Edmonton; brother Fredrick Beek of Kitscoty as well as numerous other relatives. Mary was predeceased by her husband Francis in 1985. The funeral service for Mary was conducted from the McCaw Funeral Chapel, Lloydminster, Alberta on Wednesday, November 24, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. with Pastor Eric Persson officiating. Hymns sung were "The Old Rugged Cross" and "Safe In The Arms Of Jesus" accompanied on the organ by Irene Knowlson. The honorary pallbearers were Elias Columbine, Liam Columbine, Kyla Parkin, Samantha Parkin, and Avery Parkin. The active pallbearers were Lane Columbine, Richard Allan, Lana Allan, Christine Columbine, Ken Parkin, Alan Parkin, Kevin Allan and Kyle Allan. Interment was held at the Lloydminster City Cemetery. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements. CARD OF THANKS The family of Mary Parkin would like to thank all the staff at the Jubilee Home for the exceptional care she received during her stay. Also, thank-you to Pastor Eric Persson for your comforting words and Irene Knowlson for the music at the service. Special thanks to Dean and all the staff at McCaw's for making a difficult time a little easier. Thank you everyone for phone calls, cards and donations made in memory of Mom.
