Dear Steve and family: I am so sorry to hear of Brenda's passing..more shocked, as I never saw much of Brenda after I left the Upgrader. But once and awhile we run into each other and catch up on things, she always looked great, healthy and happy, enjoying her family and living out in the country. I remember our time at the upgrader ..her as a carpenter scaffolder working hard amongst the male dominated trade. Tough as ever and never a complaint. I think she enjoyed the upgrader, obviously as I believe she met you, Steve there. The rest was history. She was gone too soon...she will be sadly missed by all her knew her. So sorry for your loss.

To Steve, Jesse, Kelsey, & Brett
When I heard of Brenda's passing my heart broke. My thoughts and prayers are with you all during this time. I wish I could be there now to help in any way I can.
Brenda and I became good friends when we moved to LLoydminster through our children. She was an awesome support to helping me get to know the place and people. We took part in and went to a lot of groups & meeting to help our children so they can get a better chance in life. She was an inspiration to be with and around. Brenda was a wonderful person to know and I felt very proud to have known her.
We kept in contact and message each other about things a lot after we moved back home to Newfoundland in 2010. She always sent me pictures of the kids and their accomplishment in their sports or school events.
When she messages me about her illness I thought if anyone can do this she could. Brenda was a strong person who we all thought would be talking and helping others after she beat this. I'm at a Loss to know that she is no longer here.
I will always treasure the memories I have of my time with her. My heart is so heavy with sorrow my deepest condolences to you all and the rest of Brenda's family.
