Obituary of Lorne Frank Weeks

WEEKS ~ Lorne Weeks passed away at the Lloydminster Hospital, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan on Friday, October 9, 2015 at the age of 68 years. Lorne graduated from the U of A, Bachelor of Agriculture Degree. Soil Science was his specialty. He taught Soil Science at the U of S for several years. He grew Pedigree Seed all of his farming career. Lorne leaves to mourn his passing: two brothers: Fred (Evelyn) Weeks and Donald Weeks; ten nieces and nephews: Ardith Richter, David Weeks, Marcel Riou, Suzanne Riou, Stephanie Riou, Anthony Riou, Blaine Wilson, Sharlene Wilson, Jan Wilson and Charles Wilson. Lorne was predeceased by his sister, Carol Wilson; and parents, Allan and Jean. The Funeral Service for Lorne was conducted from the Knox Presbyterian Church, Lloydminster, Alberta on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. with Reverend Paul DuVal from the Grace United Church officiating. Blair Elliott and Fred Weeks gave the eulogy. The hymns sung were accompanied by organist Irene Knowlson and the Grace United Church Choir. The honorary pallbearers were Denis & Vivian Elliott, Blair & Vicki Elliott, Darvin & Karen Elliott, Brent & Megan Elliott, Chad & Amber Elliott, Jamie & Brenna Elliott, Joan & Chane Bush, Ian Parsons, Clifford Harbin, Denis Nelson, Marvin Trimble, Gary Young, Lyle Anderson and all those who were faithful visitors and long-time friends. The active pallbearers were Blaine Wilson, David Weeks, Sharlene Wilson, Ardith Richter, Jan Wilson, Charles Wilson, Suzanne Riou and Anthony Riou. Interment was held in the Lloydminster City Cemetery, Lloydminster, Saskatchewan. Donations in memory of Lorne may be made to the Grace United Church Memorial Fund. McCaw Funeral Service Ltd., of Lloydminster, Alberta administered the funeral arrangements.
